Wow! Mens Casio 5BCF WVQ140BA

I bought this watch yesterday because I like to collect “military type” watches. I have spent about four hours trying to set it. The buttons simply do not work the way they are supposed to, and it doesn’t “auto set” here in Toronto. The “atomic watch” concept is a good one, but Casio dropped the ball with this particular watch. I’ve had the hands run wildly, had the auto set fail to work, and the instructions for setting the watch manually just don’t work. If you try to manually set the hour, for example, the second hand will advance but NOT the hour hand. Ditto for the minute hand. There is a tiny LCD window about four millimeters wide and about two millimeters high, and you need a magnifying glass to see the function being displayed. The band is a tough nylon one, and the numerals on the face are easy to read, and the second hand indexes properly on the second marks, but this watch is completely useless. If I ever get another “atomic watch,” it will be one made by Citizen or another company that can be counted on to make it work. This is probably going to be my last Casio. This company doesn’t answer their mail, so I’m kicking myself for giving them another chance with this model.
