I’ve used Makita tools professionally in my shop for over 20 years and they have proved to good performers and durable. I have an angle drill that is over fifteen years old that’s still going and the batteries are still recharging (and are still available). This new drill has a lot of torque in a compact package. Unlike other battery drills that I’ve had this one has a 1/2 inch chuck capacity.

Despite some reservations on the quality of this product for not being the \”leading\” memory chip maker, I am impressed with its functioning from the first moment I installed it on my laptop. As soon as it clicked into the secondary memory slot, it summed total memory to 1.5 GB and my computer flies… and absolutely no problems so far.

So far, my experience with Sony’s KDL-46V4100 has been very good. Picture is excellent, after about 4 months I have had no problems.

The only dilemma I had was user error – at first I had some older DVD players which would not function on the Composite input to the TV. I finally had Sony service come out to show me that my older players, even though they had composite output, were not compatible with this television (duh). But, I had one newer player than worked just fine. Service could have charged me $100 for the visit, but they didn’t, the technician was patient with my ignorance.

So I would rate my local service provider for Sony very highly. Quite a shocker.

This is a great product. I love it. This sharpened pencils perfectly–even when my third graders sharpened them. Until that fateful day in January…. A student shoved a pencil in eraser first…. (So it was perfect from August to January.) That day in January I took it home and finally was able to remove a giant eraser-tip, but the sharpener wobbled and wasn’t perfect anymore. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it failed. Now that it’s April, it can handle one pencil before it dies–and it better be a Ticonderoga pencil or it won’t work at all. (There is a warranty, but I’m sure misuse nullifies the warranty.)
