S Casio PAW500 Men chance

I had 2 major problems when my Casio PAW500 watch arrived. One was that the alarm and timer emitted no sound, and other was that the altimeter varied by over 100 feet as I stood still and took successive readings.

But the major problem is repair and support. Their web site forces you to choose the problem from a list, but my problem wasn’t there. When the watch was returned, same problem, so I sent it back. The web site tracking system that Casio has showed a mismatched combo of the first repair trip and the second one, and they emailed me that the watch was fine and was being returned. I waited a week and emailed them to find out why I didn’t have the watch, and they told me that it had just been sitting there. If I hadn’t asked about it, it would probably still be sitting on their shelf somewhere. When I finally got it back, I tested the alarm signal, and finally realized that the tone was so weak that I could barely hear it if I held the watch to my ear. And my hearing is fine. They also told me that the altimeter operated within specifications.

I’ve bought my last Casio product.

This book is a complete deception from satan. It does NOT go by the Bible, nor the truth of God’s Word. I read the whole set years ago and it completely deceived me. It teaches that there is no such thing as evil and that we make that up. Also, God told me this is from the New Age movement, that you can be your own god creating your own morals. Many of the philosophies written by this author may sound, taste, and even feel good to believe but it does not mean it is good. For anyone out there who is truly seeking a relationship with God and the truth, read the bible. That is the only book that will not lead you into deception, bad decisions, and regret. The bible will lead you into a rich and TRUE relationship with God through the Lord Jesus Christ. Please whatever you do stay away from this author and his books! I warn you.

I bought one of these a year or two back because I wanted the features of my GW5600 G-Shock without all the clunkiness. The fact that it is available in brown & green was really nice, because I could wear it to work and it matches khakis.

One day, I decided it is a disposable watch. I needed a clock on my motorcycle, so I took this off the band and used double-stick tape to stick it to the gas tank. Sold the bike and the watch went with it.

I have missed it ever since.

Another thing it has over the G-Shock is that the buttons protrude a bit and are easy to press.

The light is a proper backlight, and the button is front & center, but not too easy to press accidentally.

The one feature that is getting harder and harder to find, but is super-useful is the countdown timer. The basic digital watches don’t have it. It is useful for reminding oneself to change laundry, to time frozen pizza in the oven, and even to time the brewing time on a pot of tea.

The last thing that is really nice about this watch is that the leather/nylon strap is much more comfortable than the resin strap on most of the Casios in this price range. It breathes a bit, instead of sticking to your wrist.

I miss this watch and will buy another one shortly.

For reference, this seems to weigh about 1/3 as much as a G-Shock and has a smooth profile that easily fits under shirt sleeves. I don’t believe it has a mineral crystal, so it will scratch easier, but that doesn’t really matter. It will still be legible.

The green LCD background also makes it easier to read than a gray on gray, like most of them have.

I highly recommend this watch.

This is the fourth pedometer I’ve had. One got lost, another fell into the toilet, and none would come close to counting the steps in the house with carpeting. I like the feature where it automatically sets to zero for each day. I’m glad I read the reviews before purchasing from Amazon because the one negative seemed to be the clip not anchoring strongly enough and thus it was easy to lose. Sure enough, the first day I was wearing it around the house it came unclipped. Fortunately the next day the safety leash I ordered arrived and twice it has kept the pedometer from dropping unexpectedly. The lack of a strong clip is the only reason I gave it four stars.

I don’t have enough praise for this book. I did not want it to end. These characters will stay with me for a long time. Ms. Stockett did a fantastic job writing this novel. As I neared the ending I was afraid of a unrealistic ending (no consequences to the black women for what they had done). As a black women who grew up in that era and whose mother did domestic work I was skeptical of a white woman writing this story. Ms. Stockett did not disappoint. There is a movie in the works. I hope it does the book justice.

This watch is a “smaller” men’s watch, just what I wanted and is the perfect size for me. The product specifications clearly show it to be 35mm in diameter, which it is, and 10mm (3/8″) smaller than the similar AMW320R-1EV. The description also says the case is 8mm thick, but the actual watch is closer to 12 or 13 mm (I did not use anything precise). The overall case size is virtually the same as the Casio AW80V-1BV that I’m replacing. The bezel also rotates, which is not clear from the product description.

I bought this to replace my AW80V-1BV, which was a disappointing Casio product (it died after 19 months), but not disappointing enough to make me steer away from Casio.

I rated four stars because I don’t know about the durability. I would have liked a countdown timer, but I definitely wanted a durable (100m or better rating) watch that DID NOT have a mechanical date, as I hate to reset them in the five months with fewer than 31 days. And the description of the features is accurate, so I knew there wouldn’t be a timer. I don’t need a light because I have little need to read it in the dark. (And though my AW80V had a light, it wasn’t very good anyway.)

It’s just what I wanted.

So, I ordered this vac, and it showed up the next day. I was amazed since I used super saver shipping. Then I put it together, plugged it in, and started cleaning. I must say, with the cleaning solution and the vac, it did work well. However, I started to notice streaks, and I looked further. It turns out that the brushes were not spinning. I called Hoover, and it is is getting fixed for free. Not a big deal, just very inconvenient. Ive hired professional cleaners before to clean my carpet and they could not get the stains out that this vac could without working brushes even. It works great, and leaves the carpet almost dry. If it wasnt for the DOA part, id be blown away. By the way, the repair company said this issue with the brushes is a high fail item, and it is very common. If your vac is not under warranty, it will cost more to fix it than buy another vac.

I have three dogs: a poodle, a black lab, and a long-haired dachshund. Two out of the three shed like crazy, and up until now I’ve resisted the FURminator purchase, primarily due to cost. Well, I’ve just ordered a second one because the one that arrived today worked so perfectly, I don’t ever want to be ‘without’ again!

I took my lab and the doxie outside to try it out. Good choice… the hair was flying everywhere in very short order. The FURminator is well made, sturdy handle with ridges to prevent slippages of your hand while using it. The Large size is great as it allows for long, wide strokes on the sides and back of the dog. I don’t think this would be a good choice for small dogs with shorter bodies though. Maybe a medium or small sized one?

The FURminator does tug at the hair (very small metal tines) and getting the right angle, making sure the hair is clean and free of knots or burs, is important for a successful grooming session. I wouldn’t use it on the long hairs of the dog’s tails or ears, but for body work, it’s as good as it gets for bringing up that pesky undercoat that likes to drop out throughout the spring and summer months. I look forward to seeing how it works for the long haul at reducing overall shedding.

Both of my dogs seemed to not mind being groomed by the FURminator, unless I spent too much time in one area. There is mention in the small insert in the package about causing ‘red spots’ if you go over an area too much. Again, it appears to tug out the hair, and it would be unpleasant to have that in one spot over and over again.

The hair comes pouring off the dogs, even after brushing them with a traditional tool. I’m very impressed with the FURminator and if used gently, your animals should be happy with their next grooming session and you will be happier with less hair on your carpet, couch and clothes!

God’s words, thoughts..meanings are often taken and fitted into holes that would take squares. Many often take one verse and build an entire belief system around it without any sense of context or application.

This book however, goes one better. A better title would be, Talking with Satan…
If there were ever a bastardization of God’s Holy words and their meanings…this book is it.

For instance (and I paraphrase), when a girl asks the question “Why am I a lesbian?” His answer is that she was ‘born that way’ because of genetics (just as you were born right-handed, with brown eyes, etc.). Then he tells her to go out and “celebrate” her differences.

Another girls poses the question “I am living with my boyfriend. My parents say that I should marry him because I am living in sin. Should I marry him?”

His reply is, “Who are you sinning against? Not me, because you have done nothing wrong.”

Another question asks about God’s forgiveness of sin. His reply “I do not forgive anyone because there is nothing to forgive.. There is no such thing as right or wrong and that is what I have been trying to tell everyone, do not judge people. People have chosen to judge one another and this is wrong, because the rule is “‘judge not lest ye be judged.”

So, as my title ask…Are your ears itching..I take that from the following scripture which warns us of this very thing being offered up as something from God.
2 Timothy 4:3……”For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.”

Don’t let the Monster Cables, Best Buys and Game Stops of the world try to fool you into thinking an HDMI cable needs to cost $65. That is an absolute SCAM.

A cable is a cable is a cable, and when it comes to digital transfers it either works or it doesn’t. This cable WORKS. I use it between a PlayStation 3 and a 40″ LCD TV. The connection feels solid, audio/video sound and look completely fine, and the cable even seems reasonably durable (not that you need to be running around and doing Van Halen jumps with your TV or anything).

The performance difference between this $2 cable and the $100 vacuum-sealed mercury-gold quintuple-twisted zircon-encrusted foot-polished ones you’ll find at the store is so small you’d have to be in some kind of lab to see the difference. Either that, or you have to be a gullible idiot. It’s your call, whatever.

Here’s a much better way to spend $65. 1: Buy this cable ($5 total). 2: Buy Planet Earth: The Complete BBC Series [Blu-ray] ($50) 3: Pick up a dimebag from the local riff-raff ($10) 4: Have a kickass weekend in your hi-definition party lair.

This was truly a good read. The author did a really good job of expressing the feelings of 3 black maids, considering this was written by a white woman. I appreciated the fact that the story was honest, yet not as gritty as one could expect or should expect. Depending on what side of the fence you’re on. The story was warm, funny and a reminder of a shameful time within our history and my culture. I look forward to reading future books written by this author.

It is well weighted and should stay put on most flat dashboards. However, our dash is slanted and curved, and the Garmin attached to the base kept slipping down and never was able to find a place to lay it flat. The total height of the GPS and the base was too high to slip it back onto the dash without it hitting the windshield. What can I tell you? I’s a good base, but for many cars, you’d be better off with the suction cup mount.
