It is the best camera i have used so far; with the exception of low light picture quality. Zoom works great. If you are looking to take pictures outdoors or lighted areas this camera performs great. Video quality is superb, microphone worked excellent with great pick up, outdoor pictures turned excellent. Even with the zoom maxed during the shooting image quality was great. As far as low light performance; i am still going through 240 pages guide to find and adjust best shooting possibility to my taste. The built-in flash is great for close up pictures in the dark, i recommend an external flash if you are looking to do a lot of night shootings. Battery had great performance, it lasted me more than 500 pics and bunch of videos. The accesorries that came with it was basic but practical, there are available accessories to make that camera more fun and get more out of it. All above mentioned picture quality was the way i have downloaded it from camera. Camera comes with photo editing software disc too. If you are looking to do basic adjustments that software comes handy.

The two major characteristics I was looking for are fast shutter fastness and no fuzz taking locomoting photographs. I have a 3 yr old and antecedently had the canon sd1200, which was dirt at taking pictures of a tiddler unless they stood absolutely stock still. This one takes exposures promptly, particularly in flare up way, and she’s constantly in focus. Last weekend I had a girl’s weekend with 8 adult females, we applied the photographic camera a net ton for 3 days straight-and just now it’s showing the electric battery as 2 3 wide cut. Too we applied the slimming characteristic, little slimming workplaces great, we all looked fabulous! but the more slimming characteristic made it look like a funhouse mirror. We as well proved the softening outcome, created your tegument look a bit better but not picturing obvious redaction.

I was planning to get the white one at the beginning,but I got the black one since it was released first.Then when the white one came out I exchanged it.So I have the chance to try both.This has nothing to do do with performance but just obsevation when you compare the two colors:
a.You feel that the white one is bigger.I know they are identical in size but really you feel that because of the color effect.A disadvantage.
b.The white one is in fact 3 colors:Body is white,Lens cap and grip are silver, (shoulder strap ,lens cap string and hot shoe cover) surprisingly are black…These colors don’t fit together.But the black one has every thing in black…Which gives consistency in color.
c.When you look at the white one you (feel) it’s made of plastic…Again because of the color effect.But the black one you feel it’s strudy and well made.
d.I think all original accessories,like a view finder, are black color.So if you will buy any (especially a case since you will need one),they will match the black camera more.

The photographic camera was easy to check to use. I do like the automobile wall bracket characteristic as I teach the photo characteristics of the fresh motorcar. I wish I could have bought precisely the photographic camera body. But by shooting the jazz band JPEG RAW, I found oneself the BIRTHDAY SUIT icons when treated with the included Silkypix Software genuinely preserved the Clarence Shepard Day Jr.. I was able to accomplish very nice deepness and colours

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ100EGK

Been using it for 3 weeeks. Some points from me.

(If you’ve ever used any DSLR camera, please skip this review, as u will be disappointed by the image quality of this camera)

Hardware:

1. Wide Leica Lens – Big Eye!! Cant love it more (5 star)
2. Panasonic Body – Quite disappointing one, esp the dial, very loose fit. (3 stars)
3. Body size – bulkier than expected, can be classified as (semi compact) (4 stars)

Performance:

1. Good Image presents only under ISO 100 (3 and a half stars)

Any picture taken using iso 100 and above proved to be coarse.

Reason: Small cheap CCD sensor. This CCD sensor cant match the lens, I reckon this as a design flaw. I think Panasonic probably had to cut down the overall building cost to ensure profit. FUJIFILM’s 200EX has a better sensor.

2. Reliable Face Detection (5 stars)

Makes point-and-shoot more enjoyable. Even in some very dark environments, it still works!! yes, very dark, I mean it!)

3. Very Underpowered Flash (BE VERY AWARE OF THIS) (2 stars)

One very obvious FLAW of this model!! For most of the indoor lighting conditions, pictures would incline to be underexposed.

4. Clear Large Screen (resolution can be larger…) (4 starts)

5. Speed (4 stars)

Start up in 2 secs, focusing getting slow and inaccurate in poor lighting condition. Electronic Shutter could be faster…)

Overall (3 stars with reservation)

Its been over-hyped. Thought this camera is a good attempt from Panasonic, but still cant beat some of Canon’s premium wide angle compact models(such as SD850 IS).

I am a journalist and probably will stick with Canon as my 2nd camera (expecting S90)
