Excellent read! Ms. Gruen masters character and plot with beautiful prose. I remained captivated and found myself caring for the diverse cast. Ms. Gruen successfully evokes a sense of the times, the desperate nature of survival during the Depression, as well as one’s attempt to salvage one’s sense of self as age betrays the body. The storyline is suspenseful, true to period, and woven through with a touch of romance. The setting is gritty and evokes the reality of Circus life on the road and the behind-the-scenes work required to attain the magical world the public craves. Well done!

I had begun the Twilight series by seeing the first movie entitled Twilight and not knowing much about the books, etc. I loved the movie and was drawn to the series. I borrowed all 4 books from a friend and literally read them in less than 2 weeks time. It kind of became an obsession. I loved the writing and since seeing the other two movies in comparison to the books, they don’t hold a candle to the storyline and detail in the books. Well worth reading. Best books I’ve ever read.

I admit, it took me a little while to warm up to this series, but now I’m hooked! The audiobook is an incredible performance, as well. Eoin Colfer creates a fascinating new universe that is peopled with equally fascinating characters. It would be a great read for preteens, but as an adult, I thoroughly enjoyed it as well. I also love the physical book – the cover is much nicer than shown here, and it has uneven, old-fashioned looking rag paper pages. It’s much higher quality material than you usually find in a hardback.

I own several WiLife kits and have gotten fairly familiar with them. I was excited to try out the hidden camera because I was looking for exactly such an option for my bedroom (not for anything weird though). The only other option I know for indoor Wilife cameras is the WiLife Indoor Add-On Camera DLC-810i. While that works well, the camera is fairly large and very noticeable. I tried to hide it in my ceiling, but was unable to angle the lens very well. I then tried to conceal the camera in a shoebox, but that just left clutter. Although the hidden camera is a little big for an alarm clock, it doesn’t take up too much room and works well if you’re looking to hide it. I have used hidden cameras like this before and they always look ridiculous. Anyone who glances at them for more than 5 seconds can easily tell there is something “off” about them. This clock doesn’t necessarily look like something you’d buy in the store, but it does pass the concealment test. The actual camera lens is virtually invisible.

This package is basically the exact same as the Wilife DVS800I LukWerks Indoor Starter Kit except it has the hidden camera instead of the indoor camera. For anyone considering the indoor starter kit, I recommend trying this one out instead. The price is pretty much the same, yet you get the benefit of the hidden camera.

The handle with the triggers is so poorly designed. I called Hoover to order a replacement since the original one didn’t work. The replacement was just as bad. The machine bottom with the brushes actually looks like it would work great if you can get past attaching the handle. I consider myself very talented when it comes to fixing and building things. I can say the the design of the handle and how the triggers work is horrible. Perhaps you’ll have better luck.

The product is amazing. Sometimes it takes a little while to locate a satellite but I leave it on my window sill while I’m getting ready so it has time to connect. There are so many features and all are very easy to use. I haven’t tried to HRM feature yet but plan to do so soon.

Holden Caulfield has just been kicked out, yet again, of a preparatory school which his father, a hot-shot corporate lawyer, has selected for him. Holden is a pathological lawyer, he smokes like crazy, and he prefers the peak of his brand-new red hunting cap to be facing backward, not forward. Holden begins wandering around New York City, buying time before the date comes when his parents will be expecting him.

Such are the plot details, and the wonderful character painting, that this wonderful little novel unveils early in its course. The Catcher is a fast-paced and an easy read, two qualities which typically don’t go along with works of literature. Is the Catcher a work of literature? The answer is an unqualified yes. Salinger has accomplished an amazing feat by relaying his story through the first-person narrative of our protagonist, and the writing is complete with Holden’s idiosyncratic jargon and constant lacings of profanity. Yet what makes the writing so remarkable is that we know exactly what Holden is talking about it, even though his slang can be a little confusing at times.

Still, what makes this little gem a literary genius is not its exceptional writing, but its wide appealing cultural value. I think it would be immature and cliched to call this a “coming of age” book (even though it is one), or to talk about Holden’s prototypical “teenage angst”. In my opinion, this novel finds its far-reaching appeal because it speaks to the heart of us all. We all get discouraged (and even disgusted) by the faults that we see in society, and in human nature in general (for example, the “phoniness” which Holden sees as near ubiquitous). Nevertheless, all of us have to make decisions, just like Holden does, as to what direction we choose to walk in life.

A final note. I loved this book and found myself laughing out loud throughout many parts of the book. Nonetheless, I wouldn’t be surprised if this novel isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. I suspect that some readers will

This is my first GPS type device and I really like it! Now, I am free to walk/run all around the area and can get the exact mileage. This eliminates me having to go on the same route day after day just because I know what that mileage is. I never used the heart rate monitor (yet) so I can’t comment on that feature. The basic workout display is easy to use and I like the interval beep that tells me when to switch from walking to running. I am still unsure about the software as I did install the CD but it is not very user friendly. Now, I don’t do my walk/run without it!
