I am no videophile, but the pure 2D HD quality is fantastic, and amazing considering this set is 65″.

There are already plenty of reviews saying that the screen quality is superb. I will confirm that this is true. Especially if you get your settings right. Go to either CNET tv settings or the AVS forumn for great calibration settings.

This is a great tv especially for watching tv during the day in brighter rooms as it has a matte screen finish.

GAMERS! This TV does have some lag. It might not be noticeable to you as it is lower then some other TVs i have played on. It is very minor and unless you are either really sensitive to lag or you are en elite gamer i would still consider this TV. It really is great. Sometimes i notice it more then other times. My setup is an Xbox 360 connected with HDMI, main game is Halo reach. The key to having low lag is relabeling your xbox 360 hdmi connection to “PC”. hit [input] on the remote, then [green]. Change it so it’s name “PC”. Renaming to the input to “PC” is suppose to disable all the extra XD processing that runs in the background. Don’t forget to hit [AVmode] and select GAME too. This was KEY to having low lag. The tv had terrible lag in game mode and even more terrible lag when it was not in game mode. But for some reason when you relabel it to PC it magically disappears.

If you are considering purchasing a new TV, you would be making a HUGE mistake by not purchasing the LG 55LW6500 3D,LED,Internet Ready,240Hz,model. I just had mine delivered and set up by a neighborhood dealer and I am extremely pleased. This TV is simply magnificent. I love the passive 3D glasses ( my daughter accidently kept the 3D glasses from the last time we went to a movie theater and those glasses work on this TV), the matte screen which practically eliminates screen glare from my windows and lamps directly accross from the TV. The picture quality is superb. I was watching a baseball game the other day and was able to see the pitchers cleat marks on the pitchers mound. Before you think, why the heck do I want to see cleat marks , I’m merely trying to illustrate how clear the picture is.
I had some questons about the operation of the TV that I could not find in the use and care manual, so I called LG customer service on Saturday. The rep that answered the phone was VERY helpful and solved all my issues. As a matter of fact, he spent an hour on the phone with me explaining the answer to every question I posed. He told me to call back anytime 24/7 and he’d be more than happy to assist. This is really unusual for a company to have this type of customer service without having to go thru a myriad of press 1 press 2 press 3 options. I am VERY impressed with LG. I will buy anything they make with that kind of customer service. I know this review was quite wordy and I apologize for taking so much of your time. Bottom line is: Don’t wait another minute to BUY this TV NOW. I guarantee you will be depriving yourself of some of the best TV viewing EVER. The 3D picture is nothing less than movie theatre quality 3D. One more thing, I have it hooked up to a surround sound system, but even before it was connected the TV sound was very good.Hope this review is helpful.

I love the fact it is an LED TV. And this model of Sharp TV (632u), happens to be the most energy efficient of all LCD TV’s this size. Sharp’s 5th generation LCD is at this time the most advanced LCD made on the market today. Sharp is making the screen for the Pioneer Elite series of TV’s. Aren’t you glad that we didn’t opt to pay extra for the “240 Hz motion enhancement” only to have to turn it off? That fact alone gives me a double feeling of satisfaction with this TV. I would like to know a lot more about the LED bulbs though. I wonder if anyone can tell me if the LED’s will last as long running at full lumens when compared to reduced lumens. (I believe they will) I would also like to know the typical life expectancy of this TV. I believe it is typically 50,000 hours but I have no hard facts on this. Let us know if you can. For surround sound, route the optical cable from the TV to the surround sound receiver, not DVD player to surround sound receiver. I know I stated earlier that my BluRay player seemed to be more in sync with the tv picture but it is not. The delay was much less than coming from the satellite but there is still a slight delay in audio. If you run an optical cable from the tv to the surround sound receiver the TV process the sound the same as the picture and there is no delay. The only problem with this is the TV only puts out Dolby Digital and cannot output DTS, so for people who favor DTS (me) you will have to either learn to like Dolby or listen to DTS audio that is not in sync with the picture of the TV. Hope this helps those have have run into the “out of sync” issue.

I bought this item through Paul’s TV by way of Amazon. It is totally great. It arrived earlier than expected and when it did arrive, I was contacted and asked when would be a good time to have it delivered AND set up. Free delivery and free set up. It was unpacked, the cables were connected, the TV was checked to make sure everything worked, then I was given a lesson on how to use it all. Afterwards, the technician picked up all the trash and only left the box in the unlikely event it should need to be returned. Great service. As good as this television is, it is best to view it straight on, or no more than at 45 degrees otherwise it begins to look greyish. The colors are brilliant and so very crisp. Don’t know if the yellow really does enhance this TV, but I can tell you it looks much better than my other HDTV. It is not LED however. The sound leaves something to be desired, but nothing a good sound system can’t handle. As for the 3D experience, too me it is out of this world. Better than what you see at the movies. Wayyyy better.

We had had it about 2 weeks now, we are very happy with this HDTV, good color, blacks are rich, sound is acceptable but not great. Sound must be at 100% to hear well on some shows but most programs are fine. We have enjoyed the preloaded apps. Time will tell if the reliability is as good as Consumer Reports shows (3% repair rate per 1K and it beats LG and Samsung).

I just filed a return request on Amazon for this item, as there was a defect in my TV. A thin black line appears on the screen, vertical, around 2/5 ths of the screen’s horizontal dimension from the left. The LCD column is not lighting up. I am not sure at this point whether to order another one again or go for a different brand. I am giving it one star overall because of the defect. Other reviewers, please let me know (comment on this review) if you had a similar problem.
Other than that, this is a decent TV for the price. The HD quality is good and so is the 3D, although I hadn’t had an opportunity to watch a real 3D movie on it. I used the TV’s 3D simulator and it kinda did an approximate job with simulating 3D.

Update:
The new replacement TV I ordered is working fine.

I recently bought an LG Bluray player that includes streaming, since my TV doesn’t include that feature, and I wanted to try it. Based on my good experience with that device, I recommended this TV to a couple I know who wanted a 32″ TV and were also interested in streaming. I expected the streaming features to be much the same as on the Bluray player.

Nice LCD TV for the price $329.00 My only complaint is the manual is on disc. I much rather have a hard copy and I don’t want to be the one to print it. The setup would be easier with a manual by your side. Other than that the TV is a nice value

I picked up this TV from local Sony store. I had chance to play with it just for a day. No dead pixels. No clouding as far as I can tell. Panel is stylish. I am able to stream my MPEG4 720p movies from my UNRAID Twonky media server. You can also pause, fast forward these movies. I was not able to do this on my Samsung PN50B650 (only play will work and if you stop movie I would need to start over). ACR works great with my new Sony STR-DN1020 receiver.I have not tried any 3D movies yet but I have tried upconverted 2D Blu-Ray movie (from my Sony BDP-S780) and it looked not bad. You can adjust depth of your 3D content.
Picture is great. Daylight reflection from my living room windows is not as bad as it was with my old Samsung plasma TV.
The only issue I am noticing right now is some kind of crease along left edge of the TV. It is not that noticeable but if you are picky like myself you will notice it. It is about 1/4 inch wide. I am not sure if this panel was not handled properly during shipping to the store. I am going back to Sony store to check if display model have this issue. I will post my findings latter..

This thing also synthesizes 3D from 2D images. You can watch regular TV or DVD’s/Blu-Ray, or any of the streaming functions in 3D if you want. It actually does a pretty good job and for the life of me I couldn’t tell you how they pull it off. It’s basically magic. For true 3D input it is absolutely amazing. You also have the ability to adjust the apparent depth to the 3D effect.

PS – the TV adapter (if you want internet through your tv as opposed to through the blue ray) is $80 which is much less then the $300 extra to have it on the TV. Although, get an adapter with good signal reception.
~ DO NOT expect a great picture on regular cable channels.. Get HD (a receiver from your cable company) – they are normally an extra $5ish per month.

Bought the Samsung 5500 to use as a monitor so that is the slant of this review. It’s an impressive upgrade coming from a Hanns-G 28″ that had horrific backlight bleed problems of a couple inches in on each side. Laugh. The design is quite attractive as others have said, nice and thin edge lit LED and the I don’t mind the glossy surfaces compared to the matte of the Hanns-G. I love the super whites and dark blacks that it produces at its default brightness levels. I play a lot of arcade emulation and the black pillarboxes on the sides of the 4:3 and 3:4 images look sufficiently dark with barely a hint of corner blooming in a completely dark room.

Good for gardening and keeping your feet dry and warm. So best to use in the fall or spring – too hot for summer gardening. Lots of folks love these so much they use them as all purpose boots – but i think they do not look that attractive on your feet – make your feet look really huge – so if you like the farmer joe look then wear them everyday – if not then look for another pair of waterproofs for every day.

It looked more bulky than I wanted but I’ve gotten many compliments about these boots. It does keep me warm and dry during the snowy blizzard conditions. It has decent traction walking in icy conditions. It isn’t very flexible but it gets better as I keep wearing it. Happy with purchase and even convinced my sister to get one also. She likes it also.

At first I was looking for a TV spec’d at 1080P, but with the certain features I wanted as noted above, and the price range, this 720P fits the bill for our needs just right. The picture quality is absolutely amazing and I’m completely satisfied with my purchase. The screen is bright, colors are vivid and the image is perfect. I didn’t try adjusting anything as it looked perfectly clear to me right out of the box. From all areas of the room, the viewing angle is good. The only thing I didn’t like was the dongle/pigtail connector for the RCA analog inputs as it would have been nice to have those connectors built right into the rear of the TV but I suppose that’s too much to cram into this thin display (didnt need these anyway – using HDMI). Also thought it was odd that it didn’t come with a short coax cable for the antenna/cable input.

I don’t have cable – using OTA HDTV and Netflix streaming via an attached player. The TV quickly found all channels in my area with no problems. When I first turned the unit on, I selected AIR as opposed to Cable, and it went right into the channel scan so setup was easy.

TV arrived an a reasonable time frame, and in good condition. We managed to get it assembled with no problems, though the textless assembly instructions were a little difficult to decipher — they are not “Ikea” quality. Quickly attached cables as indicated, and had the TV working within minutes. The clarity of the picture is great, and the color settings are realistic. We haven’t tried all the features yet, but for ease of initial setup and quality of both sound and picture, we are very pleased with this purchase. Samsung remains one of the better brands on the market.

this is an excellent TV at a very good price. I bought one for our bedroom and it is just right for our 10X15 foot sized room. I bought it because we were very pleased with a 47″ Samsung we recently purchased for our family room. I don’t see any major difference in this 720ip picture and the larger 47″ at 1080ip. Not every program is broadcast at 1080ip.

The TV has enough adjustments to fine tune your picture to your conditions and preferences. The big complaint about the stand being difficult to install is easily resolved by using a Philips head screwdriver with a big enough handle to put some muscle into tightening the screws. They are a little hard to tighten but once tightened they are as solid as a rock, the stand does not swivel but at less than 20 pounds turning the TV is no big deal.

I bought it from Amazon vendor Electronic Express and the product arrived on the promised date with no problem.
